How do I create a design?

Will any photo work for needlepoint?

Not every image translates well to stitching. We adjust composition, color, and detail so your design looks beautiful printed and great to stitch.

What canvas does the design get printed on?

Your design is printed on a premium needlepoint canvas suitable for traditional stitching techniques. You can choose between 13 count and 18 count canvas to match your preferred stitch size and detail.

Do you sell threads or kits?

We focus on the printed canvas. Thread and stitching guides may be added as the studio grows.

Absolutely. Many of our designs are created as wedding, baby, pet, and housewarming gifts.

How does the color count work?

Accepted Answer

The number of colors you pick does two things. When you generate, the AI aims for a design that works well at about that many colors. Then, when we convert the design to threads, it's matched to exactly that many real thread colors. You can change the count anytime after generating — the design re-converts instantly, no regeneration needed.

My design looks best with fewer colors — any tips?

For the best results at a low color count, set the count low before you generate. A design generated at 8 colors is composed for 8 colors. Generating with more colors and then sliding the count down can lose fine details and thin connecting lines, because the design was drawn assuming colors that are no longer there.

Can I change individual colors in my design?

Accepted Answer

Yes — click any area of your design to change its color to a different thread, apply that change everywhere the color appears, or remove the color so no thread is stitched there. You can also click an empty area to fill it with a thread. Every change is undoable.

How does text work on my canvas?

Accepted Answer

Text you add is rendered in stitch fonts — every letter is defined stitch by stitch, so what you see is exactly what prints, with clean edges at any size. Text can be rotated in 90° steps. You can also describe lettering in your AI prompt (including cursive styles), and the AI will draw it into the design itself.

Is my work saved?

Yes — designs save automatically as drafts while you work. Find them anytime in My Designs to keep editing, and nothing is printed until you approve your proof.

Question 13

What does skill level do?

Accepted Answer

Skill level adjusts how much fine detail the AI puts into your design. Beginner keeps shapes larger and airier for easier stitching; Advanced allows finer detail. It doesn't change the canvas size.
